Tribes returned to the stage for the first time in over 8 years last night at Network (formally The Plug) in Sheffield.

The four-piece split not long after the release of their second album, Wish To Scream which didn't get the credit it deserved. After The lengthy break the band announced a London show for the 10th anniversary of debut album, Baby, when it was only 8 years old... The pandemic delays have postponed the show to make it to the tenth year and to warm up for their huge London show at Kentish Town Forum (upgraded from the Lafayette due to demand) they are warming up at intimate venues, starting in Sheffield, a city they played in a few times before their split.

It was a cold, wintery night in Sheffield with iced up pavements from the weekends' snow but the crowd gave the band a warm welcome as they arrived on stage. The four-piece showed no signs of nerves or rustiness throughout their hour-long set which featured the majority of both albums, starting with Whenever, ending with We Were Children. There was sing-alongs from the lively audience during the likes of the anthemic Nightdriving and Corner of an English Field whilst Sappho and When My Day Comes brought energy. There was also a new song that came with an announcement that they had just finished their third album.
