New starlet, Rorey wrote her debut single Predictable whilst at college, aged 19. The singer, born in New York, moved to LA when she was 7 before moving back to New York 9 years later.
The singer is managed by Ryan Gentles (Wiz Kid Management) who used to manage The Strokes. The pair met during the pandemic whilst Rorey was staying at her mum’s and finishing off her EP, Mayhem which she sent over to Wiz Kid, they were immediately impressed.
Mayhem focus’ on Rorey’s late teens and early twenties, Predictable found inspiration in a confusing relationship situation. The rest of the EP will be released as a series of singles through the rest of 2021 whilst Rorey writes and records her debut album where she’ll be tackling her experiences of mental health.
