Old School Flex is the second single from Jords forthcoming debut album. The 25-year-old rapper pays homage to London's rap heritage with a beat influenced by early grime days and it features a verse grime legend D Double E whilst pop sensation Izzy Bizu is on the chorus.
Jords grew up in Croydon, in between grimes first wave (Dizzee, Wiley, Kano, Boy Better Know...) and the reemergence (Stormzy, J Hus, Dave...), in a musical household (his dad a jazz musician, his mum introduced him to reggae & r'n'b). These influences come across in his music.
He's an old soul with a lot to say. In 2020 he released a short film, Almost An Adult that talks about grief, race, family and dealing with fame, success and money in music. He also has a podcast where he chats with other artists.
