Unapologetic pop star Charli XCX returns with new single, Good Ones. The London singer has always been a bit leftfield, she’s been hanging out in clubs and raves since her teens and that’s what this comeback sounds like, futuristic 90’s pop, it’s Gaga without the fuss or drama.

Charli is one-of-a-kind, a self-sabotager who is best known for her features (on Iggy Azalea’s Fancy & I Love It by Icona Pop) despite making her own bangers. Boys is simplistic perfection, whilst 1999 from 2019 album Charli is one of her slickest moves to date. Her unique output lets her hang in different crowds, whilst supporting Taylor Swift on a stadium tour she’d spend her nights off performing in sweaty clubs, ditching her pop hits for lo-fi beats and you’ll find her on Netflix series, I’m with the Band where she forms and managers girl band Nasty Cherry.
Pop needs Charli XCX, her return is much welcomed.
